![]() Ever since then, Miranda's brother, Arthur Barma had been kissing up to one of the highest standing notabilities in their new home, the Baskervilles, in hope of gaining higher status. The Barmas had only recently lost a power struggle in the Barma Homeland and were subsequently banished. ![]() Miranda was also considerably clever and manipulative, managing to convince Vincent to open the abyss doors, and also managing to keep her true psychopathic behavior hidden from Oswald and all of the other residents of the Baskerville mansion. Miranda also has an obsession with obtaining Oswald's head, something that she would be willing to do anything in order to obtain. Although Miranda's mental stability can be put into question, she appears to be fairly clever and knowledgeable about both the Abyss and the Baskervilles' way of life. Miranda often decapitates victims within her own home using an axe, and she kept a collection of the skulls beside one another on a set of shelves in the same room. Miranda doesn't seem to be completely mentally stable. Miranda also wears a ring on the ring finger of her right hand. Miranda also often wore a black cloak, which she held on her arms, she only wore it completely when she approached Vincent Nightray. On her wrists is a black material that ends in the same frilly white material as her dress, tied together with a white string. On her arms, Miranda had more leather, topped with the same frilly material as her dress, covering from the tops of her shoulders down to her elbows. Miranda often wore a choker with a ribbon tied around it, and a necklace with numerous beads underneath, as well as a corset that at the top had a ribbon at the top of it, underneath flowed a thinner dress. Miranda had long wavy crimson-colored hair, most often kept in a braid which was tied in a bow with a ribbon, leaving two longer pieces of hair to flow down the sides of her face. As Demios, she eventually ended up Contracted to a now adult Vincent, having been drawn to him due to his ties to her from her days as a human. He was proven right, as once the city of Sablier fell into the Abyss, the still alive Miranda slowly mutated into a Chain- Demios the Executioner. Oswald intentionally did not kill Miranda, knowing her status as Jack's coconspirator and that her fate would be worse left alive. Oswald seized the opportunity and attacked Miranda while Jack fled. Afterwards Jack called over Miranda, who ecstatically prepared to behead the prone form of her beloved. As Oswald had deployed all five of his Black Winged Chains, Jack defeated him with the B-Rabbit. Upon realizing what happened, Oswald stopped the collapse of the "Chains" with his powers as Glen, prompting him and Jack to confront one another. Through the Door, Jack created an Illegal Contract with the Chain the B-Rabbit and used his powers to shatter the "Chains" shaping the world. They worked in tandem, Jack manipulating the Intention of the Abyss and Miranda manipulating Vincent, and used each child's abilities-tied to the Abyss and that of an Ill Omened respectively-to blast open the Door to the Abyss. She was the one who had given Jack the information he needed, about the Doors to the Abyss and the time during which they'd be the least guarded, the Succession Ceremony. In Jack's treachery, Miranda was the person he decided to make his coconspirator, and she agreed to help him in exchange for Jack helping her to behead Oswald. However soon after their reunion Lacie was executed for being a Child of Ill Omen, motivating Jack to attempt to cast the material world into the Abyss in her honor. Through the Barma family's connections, Jack was reunited with his own object of obsession, the Baskerville Clan's Lacie. Jack Vessalius befriended her elder brother Arthur to get into contact with her. She had met Oswald, at the time the next incarnation of Glen Baskerville, in passing at a social event and fell in love at first sight, becoming obsessed with obtaining his head for her own. Since the era before the Tragedy had occurred, Miranda had possessed a wicked and depraved personality, deriving pleasure from beheading her victims.
